Nellakir specialise in the construction, supply and installation of premium grade Sprung Timber Sports Flooring and the removal and refitting of existing specialist timber flooring – sports flooring, church flooring, staging and theatre flooring, gymnasiums and assembly hall flooring.

The Nellakir Annual Maintenance programs includes resurfacing of existing floors, line marking and minor repairs. Nellakir can also provide Protective Floor Covers, supply and install specific Sports Equipment as well as supply and install retractable seating and retractable staging.

Australian Hardwood Sports Flooring – FIBA Approved

Nellakir select and use Australian Hardwood Timbers such as F1 Tasmanian Oak, Messmate and Victorian Ash.

All Australian Hardwood Timbers selected and utilised with the ASF/Horner Sports Flooring systems are FIBA (The International Basketball Federation, the global body of the sport) approved.

Nellakir uses Australian Forest Certified Timbers from approved producers through the Australian Government’s Australian Forestry Standard Certification program. The program identifies and certifies a ‘chain of custody’ that provides certification and ensures the Australian standard is maintained over 10.2 million hectares of Australian native forests.

Australian Timber means Australian Jobs and employment that can then be maintained throughout the entire supply chain for certified timber.

Government Building and Construction projects in Victoria and Tasmania generally specify the use of Australian timber, requiring special permission for substitution with imported timber, only where local timber cannot be sourced. In the case of Sports Flooring, Australian Hardwoods are readily available and are accessible in both Victoria and Tasmania at all times.
